One A&F chart covers tees, camis, blouses, sweaters, cardigans and sweatshirts, including the YPB active line — bust sets the size (A&F's chart calls it "Your Chest": measure at the fullest part of your bust). Verified identical on six product pages.
Letters map to A&F's US dress numbers — XXS = 000–00, XS = 0–2, S = 4–6, M = 8–10, L = 12–14, XL = 16–18, XXL = 20–22, XXXL = 24.
Coats, jackets and blazers aren't sized here — A&F puts them on its dresses chart, so use the Dresses tab for outerwear.
Swim and bralette tops are sized differently again — A&F sizes those by bra size (its chart maps each letter to a set of band-and-cup sizes, so an M covers 32DD, 34C, 34D and 36B), which needs an under-bust measurement we don't collect. Use the product's own size guide for those.

Petite & Tall lengths

Some Abercrombie & Fitch items also come in Petite or Tall lengths — same body measurements, just cut longer or shorter. Pick the one for your height:

Regular — for women 5′4″–5′7″ (A&F's own)
Petite — for women below 5′3″ (A&F's own)
Tall — for women 5′8″ and above (A&F's own)

How we sized thissized by bust

Sold as letter sizes (XXS–XXXL). If your product's size options look different, use the tab that matches them.
A&F sizes dresses, rompers, bodysuits, coats, jackets and blazers on this one chart — its own heading says so — and its skirts and skorts print this chart too. So a jacket takes your dress size, not your tee size. Bust decides; waist and hips confirm.
Petite, Regular and Tall are A&F's own height ranges — Petite below 5′3″ (below 160 cm), Regular 5′4″–5′7″ (162–170 cm), Tall 5′8″ and up (172 cm and up) — picked from your height. The body measurements don't change, only garment length: A&F states minis run ±1½″ between lengths, midis ±2½″, maxis ±3″.
Letters map to A&F's US dress numbers (XXS = 000–00 up to XXXL = 24). Dresses sell by letter; the odd numeric size you'll see in the dresses category filter belongs to co-ord set pants, not dresses.

How we sized thissized by waist

Sold as waist × length sizes (23–37). If your product's size options look different, use the tab that matches them.
A&F's numbered jeans and pants sell by waist tag — you pick a plain 23–37 on the product page. Its chart also lists a US dress number beside each tag (a 28 is a dress size 6), which is handy if that's the size you know, but it isn't what you select. Body waist governs, and your hip decides the cut: Classic and Curve Love are A&F's own fits — same waist, hips about 2″ fuller in Curve Love. If your hips sit past the Classic range for your waist, Curve Love is your cut.
Length (Extra Short–Long) comes from your inseam, or your height via A&F's own published bands (below 5′0″ up to 5′8″-and-above, printed in both units). The exact inches vary by style — a 90s jean's Regular is 31½″, a tailored pant's is 30¼″, always 2″ between lengths — so check the product's garment inseams. Some styles also sell an Extra Long about 2″ past Long that A&F publishes no height for.
A&F's store also sells a tag 38 whose body measurements it doesn't publish anywhere, so we can't size it. Its letter chart hints at where it sits, though: the XXXL there runs to a 49½″ waist where this chart's 37 stops at 47″ — so above 47″, the Joggers tab is the better guide.

A&F's letter-sized bottoms — leggings, sweatpants, and pull-on styles, including YPB — are the brand's own grouped view of its numbered sizes (each letter spans two waist tags: XXS = 23–24, up to XXXL = 37), sized by body waist with hip deciding the cut, so this tab and the Pants tab agree at every size but the last. A&F draws its XXXL wider than the tag 37 it maps to — up to a 49½″ waist where the 37 stops at 47″ — most likely because the letter also covers the tag 38 A&F sells without publishing measurements for. Above 47″, trust this tab.
Classic and Curve Love cut the same letters — same waist, hips about 2″ fuller in Curve Love. The YPB active popups print a simplified pane without the Curve Love column; the body standard is the same.
Length works like the numbered pants — your inseam or A&F's own height bands — with exact inches varying by style. Skirts and skorts aren't sized here: A&F prints its dresses chart on those, so use the Dresses tab.
