Old Navy Men’s Size Chart

Some Old Navy tops also come in Tall lengths — same body measurements, just cut longer or shorter. Pick the one for your height:

• Regular — standard length
• Tall — for men over 6′1″ (est.)

Not every product comes in every length.

Old Navy defines Tall tops by arm length and gives no height for Tall anywhere. Most people know their height, so we switch to Tall at about 6′1″ as a stand-in — an estimate bracketed by peers (Nike 6′0″, Adidas 6′2″). On tops, enter your arm length in the calculator for Old Navy’s exact criterion.

• Sold as letter sizes (XS–XXXXL). If your product’s size options look different, use the tab that matches them.
• One Old Navy chart covers men’s tees, polos, button-downs, sweaters, sweatshirts, hoodies and jackets. We size by chest, with neck as a check; the chart’s arm-length row sets the length. Tall is a Fit choice on the product page, M to XXXXL, on the same chest and neck; XS and S come in Regular only.
• Many of Old Navy’s licensed graphic tees open its gender-neutral chart instead of this one. Its letters are the same, and the two charts agree on a letter at every chest, so your size on this tab holds. Partner-sold graphic tees, marked “Sold & shipped by” another company, have no Old Navy size guide, so go by each tee’s fit tip, where it has one; most say they run narrower and longer than standard.
• A jacket’s size guide opens this chart. Old Navy’s size-chart page also prints an outerwear table with XXL and XXXL an inch higher (52–54″ and 56–58″ chest), but no product shows it. A few products add a third Fit, Big, in XXL to XXXXL; Old Navy prints no table for it, so size on this chart.

• Sold as waist × length sizes (26–54). If your product’s size options look different, use the tab that matches them.
• Old Navy’s jeans, chinos, dress pants and other numbered pants sell by waist × length. Old Navy publishes no body chart for the numbers — a jean’s own size guide shows the letter chart — so each sold waist is the body it names: a size 32 fits a 32″ waist, and 32L is a 32″ inseam. Its letters confirm that reading: M covers 32–34″, exactly the 32, 33 and 34. Length is picked from your inseam, or your height if you haven’t measured it (our estimate; Old Navy gives no length by height).
• Waists run 26, 28–34 and 36, then every even number to 54. In Regular, the 28 length comes only in 26 and 28 waists, 30 in all of them, 32 from a 28 waist up, and 34 from 28 to 50. Tall is a Fit choice: 36 from a 30 to a 44 waist, and 38 in just the 32 and 34. Not every product cuts every combination, so if the length you want isn’t shown, pick the closest it offers.
• Shorts sold by waist alone — jean, chino and cargo shorts, and one boardshort — run 28 to 54 and size by your waist here; the length doesn’t apply. One jean also lists a 56, sold out; Old Navy’s charts stop at 54, so it isn’t here.

• Old Navy’s joggers, sweatpants, pajama and activewear bottoms, swim trunks, and the pants and shorts sold by letter use XS to XXXXL, by body waist with hip as a check. Boxers, briefs and other underwear print this same table, so your letter carries over. Undershirts open it too, but their own pages size them by chest, as on the Tops tab.
• Tall is a Fit choice on the product page, M to XXXXL, on the same waist and hip; XS and S come in Regular only. Each product prints its own inseams in its Size & fit details: joggers and pants run 27½–31½″ in Regular by style, and Tall is 2″ longer than that style’s Regular. On shorts, Tall is 1″ longer.
• Old Navy’s chart also prints an XXS (26–27″ waist), but no letter-sold bottom comes in it, so it isn’t here. The numbered 26 is on the Pants tab.
