How we sized thissized by chest
  • Sold as letter sizes (XXS–XXL). If your product's size options look different, use the tab that matches them.
  • We size Ralph Lauren tops by your body chest, from RL's own body chart, with the waist, neck and arm length it publishes as checks. This chart covers knits, jackets, vests and polos — for a woven button-up shirt, use the Shirts tab, which RL sizes on a different ladder.
  • Classic, Custom Slim and Slim are all the same size — the fit only changes how trim the cut is.
  • Heads up if you check a POLO's size guide: its “Body Measurements” tab actually shows the garment's dimensions, not yours. An XS is listed at a 38″ chest because that's the shirt measured flat — the body it's cut for is 31–34″. You can tell because the numbers change when you switch between Classic and Custom Slim, which a body can't, and its centimetre view halves the chest outright. We size from RL's body chart instead, so our numbers won't match that tab.
